Made in Sheffield, this traditional
Scottish Thistle hook can be used for cutting
weeds including thistles. It has even been used
for cutting water lilies and other underwater
plants (best to attach a strap to the handle first).
Weed cutting with a Scottish Thistle
Hook - this is a pull action rather than hacking
or slashing. The Scottish thisle hook is designed
to get into the base of thorny and stingy weeds
and cut at the base. The long handle is used in
a dragging motion pulling back towards the operator.
The Scottish thistle hook is not an easy toll
to use but Scottish thistles are tough little
beasties and need special attention.
