March 12-15 in Boston called Blooms! Please check

The event was called Blooms!—a
flower show staged in donated spaces: in lobbies
along the Greenway (One International Place, InterContinental
Boston, 125 High Street); at SouthStation and
in area shopping centers (Simon Malls--Chestnut
Hill, Copley Place, Atrium Mall) Boston. It was
organized by the Massachusetts Horticultural Society
and it was free.
It almost didn’t happen. - “Six
weeks ago there was no show. There wasn’t
even a real plan,” volunteer Art Scarpa
said Friday afternoon. He was overseeing activities
at 125 High Street.
Next year ? - we will
wait a see !!!
The Trustees and Officers of the
Massachusetts Horticultural Society are delighted
to announce a new show in downtown Boston to celebrate
the arrival of spring – BLOOMS! This innovative
new event will feature springtime collections
of outstanding horticultural arrangements in the
spectacular marble lobbies of Mass Hort’s
Greenway Gardens three neighboring buildings -
One International Place, 125 High Street, and
the InterContinental Hotel. The show will be open
from Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 15,
2009.
In addition, they have made arrangements for
many of their traditional large-scale Flower Show
exhibitors to exhibit at The Mall at Chestnut
Hill, the Atrium Mall, and Copley Place. These
exhibits will run from March 12-22 in 2009.
Whether you are an avid gardener
or are simply looking for somewhere to go for
the day, the Massachusetts Horticultural Society
show 2009 will be a big hit. There will be so
much going on, it will be a day to remember.
