Blenheim
Palace Gardens are renowned for their beauty and
range from the formal Water Terraces, Italian
Garden and
Rose Garden to the Cascade. The Pleasure Gardens
Complex
includes the Herb and Lavender Garden.
The
extensive gardens attached to the Palace had their
own TV programme a year or so ago. The glorious
parkland is still as it was laid out by Lancelot
"Capability" Brown. Built for the first
Duke of Malborough by Sir John Vanborough, it
was the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill
Blenheim
Palace is situated in the picturesque and historic
town of Woodstock. Although perhaps most famous
as the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill the
palace itself is set in over 2,000 acres. The
grounds reflect the evolution of grand garden
design, featuring superb landscaping by Capability
Brown.
